Get Your Coloring Pages at the Library on Giving Tuesday!

It's November and everyone knows that Thanksgiving is coming. Followed by all the bargains of Black Friday and even more bargains on Cyber Monday. But have you heard of Giving Tuesday?

According to, Giving Tuesday was started in 2012 by the 92nd Street Y in New York City. It “is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Observed on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.”

To celebrate Giving Tuesday 2015, the Odon Winkelpleck Public Library, in partnership with the Friends of the Library, is sponsoring a coloring page night on Tuesday, December 1st from 5 to 8 p.m. Coloring pages appropriate for all ages along with crayons, markers, and colored pencils will be available at the library. Library visitors can color with friends at the library or pick up pages to color at home.

Adult coloring books are trending everywhere. Get a free sample at the library on Giving Tuesday and color up some Christmas cheer.
